PRIZES & RULES
The "I Love My Lunch Lady" video contest is produced by the Southern California School Nutrition Association and sponsored by Ultragrain and Food Safety Systems. The deadline for submission is April 21, 2017. The winners will be announced on National School Lunch Hero Day, May 5, 2017. Any teacher in California may submit one entry. All entries become the property of SCSNA, Ultragrain and Food Safety Systems. Creating a submission indicates consent.
ELIGIBILITY AND GUIDELINES
Contest Eligibility & Entry Guidelines

Classroom entries must be from Grades K-12.

Video submissions only, ~1-2 minute duration. If using a smart phone, be sure to hold it landscape, so the video isn't upside down!

To be eligible, an entrant must be a teacher, administrator, or parent, representing students. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify ineligible entries.

Only one entry per teacher will be accepted; all subsequent entries will be disqualified.

Any failure to adhere to these Contest Rules may result in disqualification from the contest.

No purchase is necessary.

Be creative and make us laugh or cry…tug at our heart strings.
JUDGING AND NOTIFICATION
Entries will be judged on the following criteria in three categories:

50% -> Content: originality, authenticity, relevancy
-
40% -> Style: appropriateness, humorous, serious, reflective
-
10% -> Correctness: organization, grammar, punctuation, spelling
Decisions of judges are final and not subject to appeal or review. Ties will be broken using the Content category.
The winner(s) will be notified on or before May 5, 2017. The winners' nomination will be posted on EatSmart2beSmart.org. Two winners will be selected, one at elementary level and one at secondary. Winners will receive $1000 each, $500 to go to the nominee and $500 to the teacher for classroom supplies at his/her discretion. Winners must not be filers of Form 700.
