CONTEST RIGHTS

Submission of an entry constitutes permission for Southern CSNA, Food Safety Systems and General Mills Convenience & Foodservice to use the participant's name, likeness, biographical information, information and materials contained in the entry form, photographs, and any statements or remarks made about the contest in advertising and promotion without further compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law. By entering, entrants agree to abide by the above stated rules, and warrant that their entry is their original work and does not infringe upon or violate rights of any third party, and grant to Southern CSNA the right to edit, publish, promote, and otherwise use their entry materials without permission, notice or compensation. No royalties will be paid at this or any time.

 

By submitting an entry, each participant assigns all right, title, and interest in and to the entry to Southern CSNA and warrants that the participant have the opportunity to assign such right, title, and interest.  It is the responsibility of the contestant to have signed parent permission forms for all children in the video as well as release forms for any adults.

 

By submitting an entry, each participant agree to be bound by the rules. Each participant agrees to release and hold Southern CSNA, Food Safety Systems, General Mills Convenience & Foodservice and its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, subsidiaries, parent companies, and other affiliated companies harmless from any and all damages, losses, claims and liabilities arising out of participation in the contest or resulting from acceptance or claiming of any prize hereunder. Southern CSNA reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate, suspend or otherwise cancel the contest at any time. Income and all other taxes are the responsibility of the prize recipient. Southern CSNA, Food Safety Systems and General Mills Convenience & Foodservice is not responsible for any expenses incurred in connection with participation in the contest.

PRIVACY POLICY

The Southern California School Nutrition Association (Southern CSNA) respects the privacy of its members and other visitors to its website. Southern CSNA strongly believes that if electronic commerce and online activities are to flourish, consumers must be assured that information provided online is used responsibly and appropriately. To protect online privacy, Southern CSNA has implemented the following policy.

 

What Information Does Southern CSNA Collect?

Most data Southern CSNA collects are used only to help Southern CSNA better serve its members. It is our general policy to collect and store only personal information that our members and visitors knowingly provide. If our privacy policies change, we will notify all users by e-mail or a special announcement placed on the website.

 

From General Users. Southern CSNA does not collect any personal information from users browsing its website. Users to the public areas of Southern CSNA's website browse anonymously. Only aggregate data -- such as the number of hits per page -- are collected. Aggregate data are only used for internal and marketing purposes and do not provide any personally identifying information.

 

From Southern CSNA Members, Conference Registrants, and Other Customers. To gain access to Members Only resources and personalization features on the SOUTHERN CSNA website, members and other users are asked to register and provide some limited information. These data are submitted voluntarily.

What Information Does Southern CSNA Collect from Children?

While certain portions of Southern CSNA's website may include content suitable for children under the age of 13 (individually a "Child" and collectively "Children") to learn about nutrition, Southern CSNA does not knowingly collect any personal information about Children. Children can surf Southern CSNA's website and view content without any personal information being collected. If Southern CSNA becomes aware that a Child has entered additional personal information in the feedback form, such as a first and last name and/or an email address, such information is deleted from Southern CSNA's system. If Southern CSNA becomes aware that it has inadvertently collected any personal information from a Child in any other fashion, the information will be deleted from Southern CSNA's system as soon as practicable.

 

How Does Southern CSNA Use Data Collected?

Southern CSNA uses information voluntarily submitted by members and other customers in the following ways:

 

Southern CSNA Member Services and Products. Generally, Southern CSNA uses data collected to improve its own Web content; to respond to visitors' interests, needs and preferences; and to develop new products and services.

What Privacy Issues Arise With Links To Other Sites?

This website contains links to other websites. Southern CSNA has no control over and is not responsible for the privacy policies or content of such sites.

 

What Means Of Redress Are Available?

If any User suspects Southern CSNA has handled its personal information in a manner that does not comply with this privacy statement, please contact us by contacting us at southernCSNA@gmail.com

 

Picture and Video Uploads

One of our main reasons for this web site is to share content with each other.  Please be responsible and respectful when uploading pictures and videos. 

  • If a person has a privacy concern regarding an uploaded picture or video, the person may contact the parties responsible for the upload and request for the content to be taken down. 

  • If there is no resolution, the person with the concern can contact us at southerncsna@gmail.com and indicate specifically what picture or video they are in and what resolution they would like.

  • You must be identifiable by others in a picture or video.  A first name or quick image in a video is not considered identifiable.

  • We will remove the content within 72 hours after reading the notification, if you are recognizable and wish to be removed.

  • When submitting a picture or video for any solicited contest or event, you are stating that you have been given permission to use the image, words, and names of any persons in the submittal. It is assumed that  you have release forms on file.  Winners will be required to provide release forms.
