MEET THE JUDGES
Stacy Sagowitz
President
Food Safety Systems
Stacy has been in Child Nutrition for 42 years starting with Milwaukee Public Schools, where she completed her dietetic internship and fell in love with the industry. During that time, Stacy have served the industry in many capacities. She was a Director of Child Nutrition at two school districts in northern CA and served as President of the NCSNA and held other positions in SNA; sold commercial cooking equipment to schools; was a food service broker specializing in schools and currently serve as President of Food Safety Systems, working with school districts throughout southern CA to maintain an optimum food safety and sanitation program.
Stacy is honored to support the “I Love My School Lunch Hero” contest and serve as a judge this year.
Emily Miramontes
Sr. Account Executive
General Mills
Emily is currently a Sr. Account Executive and started her career with General Mills in 2010 as a Field Customer Specialist where she quickly came to love working with school districts and learning about school nutrition. In 2013, she was chosen by the GM K-12 Marketing team to take SNS Certification test, something that had not been done by a field sales person at General Mills. After obtaining her SNS Certification, she was promoted to Account Executive/Education Specialist and works with key distributors and customers in the region. Over the past several years Emily has been involved in the local SCSNA Chapter and was Industry Co-Chair during the 2018-2019 SY and Industry Chair during the 2019-2020 SY. When not working, Emily enjoys spending time with her two boys David (13) and Eric (10), helping out at their school or volunteering in the community.
Ben Porcari
SNS Sales Manager
Harris School Nutrition Solutions
Ben Porcari leads eTrition sales efforts for Harris School Nutrition Solutions. eTrition is one of the leading cloud-based software tools for managing K-12 child nutrition programs. Ben is excited to facilitate innovation in school lunchrooms as districts seek to provide nutritious meal options in a sustainable way, increase access, and reduce waste. He is a new volunteer on the SCSNA’s marketing committee and enjoys utilizing his 20+ years of marketing and creative experience to assist the SCSNA’s efforts. Fun Fact – Early in his career, Ben produced children’s content for companies like Disney and PBS.
